Gallery

A bit of radio silence, but you may forgive us if you understand we have been trying to stock a few stores, a market or two, manage keep-cup orders, and create enough stock for gallery display of work in the meantime and get a few building consents and concept designs completed (in the day job). It’s all good, we have enjoyed the challenge, and are now taking a chance to breathe after a fairly busy few months!

My parents kindly shared some of our early work (and a few weird and wobbly creations) at a market in Omori (Lake Taupo), and Mum observed how each person picked up and gently held each piece in the palm of their hand no matter how ‘un-technical’ it happened to be. It’s wonderful to see people respond to that, and it means a lot, as each and every piece was designed for touch. We are always learning and evolving, but the core concepts behind each piece we create is to be designed for use and for enjoyment in the home.

We are so pleased to finally be able to share online some of our recent creative ceramic endeavours. The items featured here are available at The Fantail House in Parnell. They are having a pottery Exhibition in November from 2nd to 28th Nov 2020, of which we are a part of, and these items are available for purchase if you are interested.

Looking forward to a few creative summer months trying out some new ideas, wrestling with our blended clay (always a challenge - Im asking for a pug mill for xmas… google that…) and a few burnished surfaces that have the tendency to explode in the kiln - but now we have the time to try (and hope the baby yellow kiln recovers for the next firing)!
